Metro…In Dino box-office collection Day 3: Anurag Basu’s romance-drama, Metro…In Dino saw a steady rise over the weekend. It earned Rs 7.25 crore on Day 3, making its total collection Rs 16.75 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. It has crossed the life-time collection of its prequel Life in a…Metro (2007), which had earned Rs 15.63 crore with a theatrical run of seven weeks.

On Sunday, Metro…In Dino had an overall occupancy of 39.75 % with morning shows amounting to 15.98 %, afternoon shows seeing a rise with 46.62 % which further increased in the evening to 57.14 %. The film opened at the box-office at Rs 3.5 crore and raked Rs 6 crore on Saturday.

The film stars Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Neena Gupta. It follows stories of bittersweet relationships in a contemporary setting, exploring various aspects, hues, and moods of love.

It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu

CE’s review of the film reads, “Metro…In Dino begins chaotically. There are too many characters, too many relationships and too many dynamics to catch hold of. But the film is relentless. It won’t offer you a hand as it jumps from one couple to another, one problem is left unresolved while the other apparates. It can best be explained as a story of a family and a friend group.”
