Dhanush's upcoming film with director Aanand L Rai has a new cast member. On Tuesday, it was announced that actor Kriti Sanon has joined the cast of Tere Ishk Mein.

The makers of the film confirmed the long-rumoured news on their social media handle. “Jahan ishq ka junoon ho, wahan kahani alag hoti hai! (Where love is madness, the story there is different) Welcoming  Kriti Sanon to the World of Raanjhanaa as Mukti in Tere Ishk Mein,” the post was captioned.

The video shows Kriti holding a can of kerosene and walking amidst a riot-infused town. She stands in the centre of a road and douses herself in the kerosene. Next, we see her sitting on the side, cigarette in mouth. She looks into the screen as she lights up a lighter. Kriti’s character is called Mukti in the film.

Tere Ishk Mein, as per the makers, is set in the world of Raanjhanaa, the 2013 film starring Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor and helmed by Aanand. AR Rahman, who also worked on Raanjhanaa, is composing the music for Tere Ishk Mein.

Apart from the casting announcement, the release date of the film was also unveiled. Tere Ishk Mein is scheduled to hit the theatres on November 28.

Previously an announcement video also showed a bearded Dhanush in the role of an obsessed lover named Shankar in the film.

The film has been produced by T Series' Bhushan Kumar and Krishna Kumar along with Colour Yellow Productions' Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma, who has also penned the script.
