Saif Ali Khan was injured after an unidentified person attacked him with a knife at his home in Mumbai. As per a PTI report, the incident took place around midnight and he is currently undergoing treatment at Lilavati hospital in Mumbai.

According to a statement shared by the actor’s team, there was a robbery attempt at his house. “There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation,” said the statement.

According to reports, the intruder broke into their house at around 1 pm and was seen by one of the nannies who alerted everyone. The intruder had a knife in hand and when Saif came out hearing the voices, he got attacked.

Reports state that Saif has six injuries of which two are deep and one of it is close to his spine. He was brought to the hospital at 3:30 am.

The matter is currently being investigated by the police.
