Anurag Kashyap will be presenting the Hindi version of the Malayalam film Footage. Its trailer was unveiled by the makers on Monday. The Malayalam version of the film released in theatres on August 23 last year. Helmed by Saiji Sreedharan, who has also edited it, the film stars Manju Warrier, Vishak Nair and Gayathri Ashok in pivotal roles.

The trailer gives a glimpse into its world as it captures the story of a couple who uncover disturbing secrets in their apartment during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is shot as a found footage film and the two are seen going around in forests at night exploring what they caught on their camera. Not much is revealed in the trailer and it promises to be a mysterious adventure with atmospheric, thrilling moments.

Sharing the Hindi poster of the film, Anurag wrote on Instagram, “Set during Covid, a found footage thriller. When I saw it in a cinema, I marvelled at the way the film was put together from the two perspectives. Saiju and his team have achieved what they have done. And the way Manju Warrier, Vishak and Gayathri have performed and elevated it to such a thrilling level. So excited to bring the film to the Hindi audiences.”

The film is produced by Bineesh Chandran and Saiju Sreedharan and will be released soon in theatres.
