The song ‘Bande’ from Reema Kagti’s upcoming film Superboys of Malegaon was unveiled by the makers on Friday. Written by Javed Akhtar, it is composed by Sachin-Jigar who have sung it along with Divya Kumar and Sayee Gangan.

The song has a refreshing vibe to it with simple words of Akhtar that weave magic to give an ode to those who dream. The music video features the characters involved in making films with low-budget in the town of Malegaon. It is a song about their spirit of filmmaking and friendship. At one point, Vineet Kumar Singh’s character shows everyone a photo that he has clicked with Javed Akhtar. It also features Adarsh Gourav who is involved in filming and Shashank Arora playing one of the actors. The vocals by Divya carry a sense of liberating warmth, elevated by the liveliness of the music.

Written by Varun Grover, the film had its premiere earlier at TIFF, BFI London Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival, and Red Sea International Film Festival.

It is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti and will be released in theatres on February 28.
