Karan Johar praises TVF: Their writers are rooted, commercial and fun

In the conversation, Karan also spoke about how important it is to empower writers and that the biggest hit films recently have been penned by new writers

Filmmaker Karan Johar in a recent interview has praised the production house and content company The Viral Fever and its team of writers. TVF is behind shows like Panchayat, Kota Factory, Gullak and Aspirants, among others.

During a conversation with Komal Nahta, when asked which writers he would bet on, Karan said, “But jo TVF hai na The Viral Fever, unke jo writers haina, vo kamal ke writers hai. They are rooted, they are commercial, and mazedaar writers hai. Bahoot acha likhte hai (The writers of TVF are fabulous. They are rooted, commercial and fun. They write very well).”

In the conversation, Karan also spoke about how important it is to empower writers and that the biggest hit films have been penned by new writers. He also praised Niren Bhatt, the writer of Stree 2 and Ishita Moitra, who has penned the screenplay and dialogues of Karan’s last release Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023).
