Actor Akansha Ranjan Kapoor is set to star as the female lead in Prime Video’s upcoming series Gram Chikitsalay. Produced by The Viral Fever (TVF), the series also stars Amol Parashar, Vinay Pathak, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Akash Makhija and Garima Vikrant Singh in pivotal roles.

The first look photos from the series were unveiled by the makers recently in which she is seen riding a scooty as she plays a small-town girl. Talking about her experience, Akansha said, "Working on Gram Chikitsalay was a refreshing experience. The story and my character really intrigued me because it’s so different from anything I’ve done before. I even learned to ride a scooty for the first time—it was terrifying at first, but I ended up loving it! Playing a doctor felt like a huge responsibility, and I’m excited for people to see me in this new role."

Akansha is known for working in films like Guilty, Ray, and Monica, O My Darling.

As per a press note shared by the makers, “Gram Chikitsalay is a delightful blend of humor and emotions. The series follows the journey of a doctor from the city as he adjusts to life at a small-town public health center.”
