With just days left for the premiere of the final season of Four More Shots Please, the series' director, Arunima Sharma, has shed light on what to expect from the upcoming season. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, the director has also addressed the criticisms the show faced for normalising infidelity.
Speaking about the upcoming season, Arunima shared, "It’s the end of an era, and it's going out with a bang. The friendship, the fun, the highs and lows, the laughs, the drama – everything is more this season. We’re calling it the season of joy, where the girls look within themselves to see if there’s something holding them back from grabbing joy with both hands and kissing it."
In season three, one of the lead characters, Damini, cheats on Jeh, and the show was thereby condemned for normalising infidelity. On whether that will be addressed in the final season, Arunima added, "The writing gives our protagonists the right to make mistakes, and acknowledgement doesn’t need to happen instantly. Much like life, things take time. And that time has passed between Seasons 3 and 4, giving Damini the time to reflect. The girls have all grown up, just a little, this season.”
