Filmmaker Meghna Gulzar is set to complete the final shooting schedule of her directorial Daayra, featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles.
Meghna, known for directing films such as Vicky Kaushal-starrer Sam Bahadur (2023) and Raazi (2018) with Alia Bhatt, shared the update on the film with a post on her Instagram handle on Sunday. It featured a picture of the car with some bags in it.
"Final Schedule. Here we go Team #daayra," she wrote in the caption.
Daayra is billed as a crime-drama thriller that explores the age-old paradox of crime, punishment, and justice. It taps into the pulse of the people as it confronts the topical and diabolical realities unfolding in society today, as per the official logline.
The filming started in September. Meghna announced it with a montage video from the set featuring herself, Prithviraj, and Kareena. "A journey of blurred and crossed lines' We begin," she wrote in the caption.
