The other day, we reported about Homebound director Neeraj Ghaywan praising Mari Selvaraj's sports film Bison Kaalamaadan, starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead role. Neeraj called it "a sports biopic done right" as well as praised Mari Selvaraj's direction and the performances by Dhruv Vikram, Pasupathy and Rajisha Vijayan. Yesterday, Pasupathy also expressed his gratitude to Neeraj Ghaywan for his appreciation of the film and his performance in it. "Thank you so much for your warm appreciation of our film Bison- it truly means a lot," Pasupathy wrote. He also returned the compliment with a note of appreciation for Neeraj's Homebound. "And my heartfelt congratulations on Homebound to you, cast and crew. You’ve told a sensitive and important story with honesty, empathy and courage. Wishing you many more stories that touch hearts," Pasupathy added.

Neeraj's film, which is India's official entry for a Best International Feature Oscar for this year, tells the story of two friends who aspire to join the police force. When one of them gets a constable's job, their relationship becomes complex. Much like Bison, Neeraj's drama also explores themes of oppression, caste-based violence, corruption, and patriotism. And similar to Bison, it is also streaming on Netflix.
