The makers of Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s upcoming romantic-drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat have shared a new release date for the film. It was earlier set to hit the theatres on October 2. Now, the film will be released on October 22. Its trailer will be unveiled on August 22.

The makers shared a new poster of the film featuring Harshvardhan and Sonam as they are standing between a heart made of the flame coming off a lighter. The caption to the post read, “Iss Diwali, Diye hi nahi, Dil bhi jalenge. Mohabbat se takraayegi Nafrat, aag lagaayegi deewaanon ki Deewaniyat! (This Diwali, not just lamps, but hearts will burn. Love will clash with hate, and madness will set everything ablaze!)”

Described as a musical love story, the film has been helmed by Milap Zaveri, known for making actioners like Marjaavaan (2019) and Satyamev Jayate (2018), among others. It is written by Mushtaq Shiekh and Milap and produced by Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan.

Its shoot was wrapped earlier this year in June. Making the announcement, Harshvardhan wrote, “Finished shooting for Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat yesterday, exam in a week and then next films shoot starts July, was craving to see some animals and be close to mother nature so came back to the pride of India.”

Harshvardhan will also be seen in Sanam Teri Kasam 2, a sequel to his 2016 romantic film, which was re-released in theatres earlier this year and the actioner Silaa. He was last seen in The Miranda Brothers, directed by Sanjay Gupta, which was released last year on JioHotstar.

Meanwhile, Sonam was recently seen in the multi-starrer comedy-drama, Housefull 5 which was released in theatres on June 6 earlier this year. The actor will be seen next in Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 which is set to be released in theatres on September 5 and also has Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh's Border 2 in the pipeline, which will be out next year.
