Hrithik Roshan praised his War 2 co-star Jr NTR during a promotional event for the film in Hyderabad on Sunday. Hrithik said that he sees himself in the Telugu superstar and also called him a “one-take actor”.

Hrithik was surprised at the reception of fans for NTR. Speaking during the event, Hrithik said, “For fans, NTR is 'anna' (elder brother), but for me, he is 'thammudu' (younger brother). We are like family.”

Hrithik said that he had shot for Krrish in Hyderabad. “I was floored by the love and warmth of people then. Coming back here for War 2 just feels special.” He spoke of the relationship he shares with NTR and said, "We started as co-stars and ended up as brothers in real life. Please love NTR forever - he deserves it. War 2 is right at the top of my career highlights, perfectly fitting for my 25 years in cinema. The love I received for playing Kabir in War 1 was on par with what I got for Krrish, Dhoom 2, and Kaho Naa ... Pyaar Hai."

Hrithik also opened up on doing action sequences for the film and said, "Action scenes can be tough, especially when you're injured. Seeing NTR overlook his injuries and still give his all inspired me to push through. I can say this will be an unmissable movie for film lovers."

He added, “I see a lot of myself in Tarak, and I think he sees a little bit of me in him. He is a 'one-take-final-take' star. I've learnt from him to give 100% to every shot, never 99%, and I'll carry that lesson into my future films. I also love NTR's homemade biryani - he's one of the best chefs I know!"

Directed by Ayan Mukerji and also starring Kiara Advani and Ashutosh Rana, War 2 will be released in theatres on August 15
