On August 01, Sitaare Zameen Par producer Aamir Khan Productions shared a note on X acknowledging that the rental price for the film was showing as Rs 179 on Apple's devices. Back then, the production banner promised to fix the issue at the earliest possible time. As promised, the other day, the banner shared that the issue has been resolved, with the price now reflecting as 100 across devices. It also expressed its gratitude to the audience for "the incredible love" shown for the film since its release on YouTube.

"It has been our primary goal to make this film affordable and accessible to every single one of you," the banner wrote about the movie directed by RS Prasanna from a Divy Nidhi Sharma screenplay.

A spiritual successor to Aamir's own Taare Zameen Par (2007), the film tells the story of a basketball coach (Aamir) who has to train a group of neurodivergent children as part of his community service assignment. Based on the 2018 Spanish feature Campeones, the film also stars Genelia Deshmukh, Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh and Brijendra Kala.

Released theatrically on June 20, Sitaare Zameen Par has reportedly minted more than 250 crore at the global box office.
