Son of Sardaar 2 box office: Ajay Devgn’s comedy-entertainer has earned Rs 24.75 crore at the box office in three days since its release. The film has earned drastically lower than Ajay’s earlier release this year, Raid 2, which had minted Rs 49.25 crore in three days.

Son of Sardaar 2 saw a steady rise on Sunday as it earned Rs 9.25 crore. The film opened at Rs 7.25 crore and collected Rs 8.25 crore on Saturday. On August 3, it had an occupancy of 34.90% with evening shows amounting for the maximum of 51.58%.

The film clashed at the box office with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri’s Dhadak 2 and has been outperforming it. The three-day box office collection of Dhadak 2 stands at Rs 11.4 crore. Both the films are also facing competition from Saiyaara, which is still holding its ground two weeks after release as it earned Rs 6.75 crore on its third Saturday and Rs 8 crore on its third Sunday.

Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Son of Sardaar 2 also stars Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Mukul Dev, Chunky Panday, Vindu Dara Singh, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait and Sanjay Mishra in pivotal roles. Presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, it is produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, NR Pachisia, and Pravin Talreja, and co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak

CE’s review of the film reads, “Coming from the Son of Sardaar ‘brand’, there is nothing familiar here apart from the heart-pumping title track from the original composed by Himesh Reshammiya. The eccentric musician is another icon from the early 2010s who is growing to immense popularity in 2025. What many passed-off as cringe then has rapidly become the norm now. Changing times have infused newer meaning to his music. As for the comedy entertainers, they have only turned worse, high on scale and low on concept.”
