Rashmika Mandanna has begun shooting for the next schedule of her upcoming film, Thama, in Ooty, she announced on Monday. Directed by Munjya fame Aditya Sarpotdar, the film also stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. She took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo from the hills of Ooty and wrote, “Ooty for a couple of days.”

The film is part of the Maddock horror-comedy franchise, which also includes the Stree films as well as Bhediya and Munjya.

Niren Bhatt, the writer of Stree 2, has penned Thama along with Suresh Mathew and Arun Fulara. Amar Kaushik, the director of Stree 2, will produce the film along with Dinesh. The film is slated to release in theatres on Diwali this year.

Rashmika was recently seen in Salman Khan’s Sikandar, which released in theatres earlier this year on Eid. She also starred in Vicky Kaushal’s period-drama Chhaava, which did exceptionally well at the box-office.
