The trailer of the Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat starrer Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins was released by the makers on Monday. Directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, the film has been produced by Pathaan (2023) director Siddharth Anand, and Mamta Anand’s Marflix Pictures. It has been written by Sumit Aroraa.

The trailer informs us that Red Sun, a coveted jewel, has been brought to India from Africa. Rajan Aulakh (Jaideep Ahlawat), a cool and calculated mafia boss, is after the gem and to get it he obtains the services of Rehan Roy, a charming and cunning thief. On Rehan’s heels is Kunal Kapoor as Vikram Patel, a relentless detective. The film also stars Nikita Dutta as Farah, who is with Jaideep’s Rajan but has also seemed to grab Rehan’s attention. As loyalties shift and motives blur, the race begins for the ultimate prize: the African Red Sun.

Speaking about the film, the producers shared, “As filmmakers, we’re constantly exploring new ways to tell stories that are stylish, compelling, and surprising. With Jewel Thief, we wanted to create a cinematic universe that felt both classic and fresh — a modern-day heist with emotion and pace."

Jewel Thief will premiere on Netflix on April 26.
