IRS officer Amay Patnaik returns for his 75th raid. The trailer of the Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor starrer Raid 2 was released by the makers on Tuesday. The drama-thriller has been directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and written by him along with Ritesh Shah, Jaideep Yadav and Karan Vyas. It also features Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Supriya Pathak and Amit Sial in pivotal roles.

The trailer shows that Ajay’s Amay has come knocking on the door of minister Dadabhai (Riteish Deshmukh). As he proceeds with the raid, it is revealed that the previous instalment’s antagonist ‘Tauji’ (played by Saurabh Shukla) is actually Dadabhai’s uncle. A battle of wits ensues between Amay and Dadabhai as the former tries to find something to implicate the latter. Vaani plays the role of Amay’s wife while Rajat is essaying the character of Amay’s superior. Amit Sial is an amusing addition to Amay’s raid team while Saurabh Shukla reprises his role of ‘Tauji’.

Raid 2 has been produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar through their T-Series banner, alongside Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak of Panorama Studios. It will release in theatres on May 1.
