Aanand L Rai has begun shooting for the next leg of his upcoming film, Tere Ishk Mein in Benaras. The Dhanush and Kriti Sanon starrer is hailed to be the spiritual successor to Aanand’s 2013 romantic-drama Raanjhanaa.
As per a press release shared by the makers, the film’s shoot schedule in Delhi was wrapped recently. Aanand will be shooting in real locations in Benaras in order to bring in more authenticity to the film. “Banaras’ layered textures, spiritual undercurrents, and vibrant chaos form the canvas for a story that promises intensity and truth,” said the makers in the release.
The makers also shared a video of Aanand navigating the shoot in some real-locations across Benaras, as he is seen recording visuals on his phone. The caption to the post read, “Lights. Camera. Banaras. Duniya wahi, kahaani nayi (A new story from the same world), Aanand L Rai ke andaaz mein (in the style of Aanand L Rai).”
The film also features music by AR Rahman. It is slated to release in theatres on November 28 this year.
