Ronit Roy, who played a pivotal role in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, has opened up about the delay in payments by Vashu Bhagnani who is the producer of the film. Ronit said that it was after director Ali Abbas Zafar intervened that his dues were cleared.

In an interview with Zoom, Ronit said, “The money was supposed to come from Vashu Bhagnani and it came from Vashu Bhagnani, but that happened only after Himanshu Mehra (who works with Ali Abbas Zafar) intervened. And when it came to the dues of my staff and my security company that guarded the sets in Mumbai, it was all very much delayed and we got that also due to Himanshu.”

He further stated that his team and security company were paid only when Ali intervened. “I think my staff was paid off from the Dubai subsidy at the insistence of Himanshu. In fact, Himanshu and Zafar are now only going all out to see that maximum payments are done in minimum time."

Ali Abbas Zafar had recently issued a complaint with the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) against Vashu for non-repayment of his dues of Rs 7.30 crore for the film. Vashu Bhagnani has also filed a police complaint against Ali for misappropriation of funds during the shoot of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan
