The trailer for Ram Kapoor’s musical-drama series Khalbali Records was unveiled by the makers on Monday. Directed by Devanshu Singh, the series features music composed by Amit Trivedi and Azadi Records. It also stars Prabh Deep, Saloni Batra, and Skand Thakur in pivotal roles.

The trailer introduces the central conflict of a father and son, while delving into the nuances of the battle between commercial music and indie music. Ram plays a music producer who owns the label, Galaxy Records. His son, Raghav, works under him and gets disillusioned with the shoddy way in which his father’s company works and treats artists. Raghav decides to start his own label that, which irks his father who creates obstacles in his way.

Sharing the trailer, the makers wrote in caption, “Khalbali machane wale aa rahe hai! Get ready for the biggest musical drama of the year, Khalbali Records. Music by Amit Trivedi and Azaadi Records.”

The series will premiere on JioCinema on September 12.
