A new motion poster for the Vikrant Massey starrer The Sabarmati Report was unveiled by the makers on Thursday. The poster shows a burning newspaper bearing the headline ‘Innocent lives lost in Godhra fire’. The flaming paper is chipping away showing Vikrant’s fiery eyes.
The film’s production house Balaji Motion Pictures shared the poster and captioned the post, “The Incident that changed India’s History. The Aftermath that changed India’s future!”
The Sabarmati Report's teaser will be released on October 25. The film will release in theatres on November 15.
The film revolves around the death of karsevaks (RSS workers) in a fire on the Sabarmati Express at the Godhra railway station in Gujarat on the morning of February 27, 2002. The incident led to the Gujarat riots of 2002.
It is directed by Dheeraj Sarna and also stars Rashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra. The film will be Vikrant’s first theatrical release since 12th Fail. He was recently seen in the role of a psychopathic serial killer in Sector 36.
It has been produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan.
