Singham to re-release in theatres

The first film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe starred Ajay Devgn, Kajal Aggarwal and Prakash Raj

Ahead of the release of Singham Again on Diwali, the makers have announced the re-release of the 2011 original Singham. The Ajay Devgn, Kajal Aggarwal and Prakash Raj starrer will hit theatres again on October 18.

Sharing the update on Instagram, director Rohit Shetty wrote, "BEFORE HE COMES WITH HIS FULL FORCE ON DIWALI! Experience how it all began again Experience the mass again Experience the euphoria again Experience SINGHAM once more before SINGHAM AGAIN! Re-Releasing in cinemas on 18th October."

Ajay also expressed his excitement about the re-release of the film with the Instagram caption, "Aali re aali aata tumchi baari aali...movie wapas dekhne ki (Now it’s your turn to watch the film again) #Singham re-releasing in theatres again."

Singham, released in 2011, turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of that year.

Rohit expanded the franchise with a successful sequel in 2014. Kareena Kapoor Khan essayed the role of the female lead in the film. The film franchise’s third instalment, Singham Again, will have a star-studded cast including Kareena, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Akshay Kumar.
