The Manoj Bajpayee and Shahana Goswami starrer investigative thriller Despatch will have its premiere at the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) Film Festival this year. The film is helmed by Titli (2014) and Agra (2023) director Kanu Behl.

Manoj and other people associated with the project took to social media on Thursday to share stills from the film. The pictures suggest that Manoj is in the role of a journalist in the film for a newspaper called Despatch. In one picture, Shahana can be seen trapped in a hotel room. “The world of crime journalism reaches the festival of cinema. Despatch will be premiering as a Gala Feature for this year's MAMI Mumbai film festival,” reads the caption.

Although the film is set in the backdrop of crime journalism in Mumbai, its plot details are still under wraps. The film has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
