Akshay Kumar’s Bhagam Bhag 2 announced, to go on floors in 2025: Report

Akshay Kumar’s Bhagam Bhag 2 will go on floors in 2025, according to a report in The Hollywood Reporter India. It is a sequel to Priyadarshan’s 2006 comedy which also starred Govinda, Paresh Rawal, Jackie Shroff, Lara Dutta, Rajpal Yadav and Arbaaz Khan among others.

The film is currently in the final stages of scripting and the rights for the film were acquired recently by producer Sarita Ashwin Varde from Shemaroo Entertainment. More details about it are awaited.

Bhagam Bhag is among Priyadarshan’s popular comedy which was adapted from the Malayalam film Mannar Mathai Speaking. It told the story of a theatre group which travels to London to organize a show. However, two actors in the group are embroiled in a mystery surrounding a murder for which they are wrongly accused.

The film became a success at the box-office, becoming one of the highest grossing movies of the year.
