Abhishek Banerjee opened up recently about returning to play the role of ‘Compounder’ in Mirzapur The Film and said that the character has been a landmark in his career. The actor essayed the role in the first season of the series.

Speaking about it, Abhishek said, “I am incredibly excited to bring the Compounder back to life in Mirzapur The Film. This character has been a landmark in my career and remains close to my heart. Playing Compounder was intense, dark, and edgy. The fact that I get to step into his shoes again—this time for the big screen—is an exhilarating challenge and an honor.”

Mirzapur The Film was announced recently as the makers unveiled a promo video featuring Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu and Abhishek.

Abhishek was last seen in the horror-comedy Stree 2 and also in the action-thriller Vedaa, both of which released in theatres on August 15.
