Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty confirmed in an interview recently that they will be working next on Golmaal 5, the next instalment in the comedy franchise that started in 2006. He said that he would want to work on the film before moving on to the next project in the cop universe.

In the interview with Pinkvilla, Rohit was asked about the next part in the Golmaal franchise, to which he said that it will come very soon. “I think before any cop film for sure Golmaal will be the next,” he said.

The director also said that having worked on an action film like Singham Again, he would want to do something lighter. “I want to be in that world where it is happier and I am not worrying about shooting one more action sequence for which teams from abroad are coming and there’s too much of special effects. I have done that now and so working on Golmaal next would be like a breather for me.”

Singham Again released on November 1, clashing alongside Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. According to Sacnilk, the cop-drama has made Rs 167.5 crore at the box-office since its release.
