Sidharth Malhotra to star in the folk-thriller Vvan - Force of the Forrest

The film is a collaboration between Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and Arunabh Kumar’s The Viral Fever (TVF)

Sidharth Malhotra will be seen next in the folk-thriller Vvan – Force of the Forrest, he announced on Thursday night. The film is a collaboration between Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and Arunabh Kumar’s The Viral Fever (TVF). It is being helmed by Arunabh and Deepak Mishra, who has earlier directed the web-series Panchayat.

Sidharth shared a first look of the film in the form of a motion-poster which is filled with some spooky visuals and music. It begins with a sign on a board that says, “Entering the jungle after sunset is prohibited”. Then an animated image of a man holding a lamp is seen running away from a kingdom in the heart of a forest. Just then, two eyes pop up out of the forest.

In the caption, Sidharth wrote, “Excited to be part of this folk thriller, with a powerhouse team, directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra. Can’t wait for you all to experience ‘VVAN - Force of the forrest’ on the big screen in 2025.”

The film will be released on the festive ocassion of Chhath in 2025. More details from the project are awaited.

Sidharth was seen earlier this year in the actioner Yodha, directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha.
