The trailer of Abhishek Bachchan-starrer slice-of-life film I Want To Talk was released on Tuesday. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film’s screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Ritesh Shah.

As per the over two minutes trailer, Abhishek plays a character suffering from a serious disease, but we are never told exactly what. As he prepares for a life-altering surgery, he goes on a journey to make amends with those he has miffed. “The purpose of this story is for me to say sorry to those I have hurt,” he says in a voiceover. Abhishek’s character also has a daughter with whom he has strained relations.

The film also features Ahilya Bamroo, Johnny Lever and Jayant Kripalani, among others.

I Want To Talk marks the first collaboration between Abhishek and Shoojit. The latter has frequently teamed up with Abhishek's father, superstar Amitabh Bachchan, on films like Piku and Gulabo Sitabo. Shoojit's last film was the patriotic-thriller Sardar Udham

Earlier, talking about the film with PTI, the director had said, "It's a very simple observation of life with a little smile. When I watch the film, its post-production, it brings a smile (to my face). And, I can guarantee that it is one of the finest of Abhishek Bachchan films. We always wanted to work together but we were not getting the right kind of script."

The film will release in theatres on November 22.
