Minsara Kanavu pair Kajol and Prabhudheva to reunite for an action thriller

The film will mark the maiden directorial venture of Charan Tej Uppalapati and will also star Naseeruddin Shah and Samyuktha Menon among others

Actor and filmmaker Prabhudheva is all set to reunite with Kajol 27 years after Minsara Kanavu, for an action thriller, as per a report on ANI. The film is set to be helmed by Charan Tej Uppalapati, who has previously written Spy, and starred in and produced Malli Modalaindi. 

The yet-to-be-titled action thriller is said to be Charan Tej's long-awaited Hindi directorial debut. Apart from Kajol and Prabhudheva, the film will also star Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha Menon, Jisshu Sengupta, and Aditya Seal, among others. 

The first schedule for the film has been wrapped and the teaser is expected to be unveiled soon. The upcoming action thriller will have GK Vishnu cranking the camera, Harshavardhan Rameshwar composing music and Navin Nooli handling the edit. Niranjan Iyengar and Jessica Khurana have penned the film's screenplay. More details regarding the film's plot are yet to be disclosed.

Meanwhile, Kajol is currently awaiting the release of Do Patti, Sarzameen and Maa, which are all in different stages of production. On the other hand, Prabhudheva, who was last seen Karataka Damanaka, has Musasi, Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer, Flashback, The Greatest of All Time and Wolf in the pipeline.
