Kajol swings a katana in the first glimpse of Maharagni- Queen of Queens

Directed by Charan Tej Uppalapati, the film will also star Prabhudheva, Naseeruddin Shah and Samyuktha Menon

Kajol is all set to star in an actioner. The first footage of the Charan Tej Uppalapati directorial Maharagni- Queen of Queens was unveiled on Tuesday. The film will see Prabhudheva in the role of a villain. The cast also includes Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha Menon, Aditya Seal, Jisshu Sengupta and Chhaya Kadam among others.

The first ‘glimpse’ opens with Prabhudheva exiting a private jet, wearing all-white. He batters someone with a baseball bat. Then we see Samyukhta indulging in some street racing. Finally, Kajol arrives swinging a katana during a celebration of Goddess Durga. As she beats up goons, she projects herself as having the traits of the Devi. “Full too desi” she proclaims before signing off.

With Maharagni, Kajol and Prabhudheva are reuniting, 27 years since Minsara Kanavu (1997) (also known as Sapnay in Hindi)

Written by Niranjan Iyenger, Jessica Khurrana, the film has been produced by Venkata Anish Dorigillu and Harman Baweja under the labels E7 Entertainments and Baweja Studios, respectively.

Kajol was last seen in the Tilchatta segment of the anthology series Lust Stories 2 . The actor has Sarzameen, which will mark the debut of Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan and Do Patti in the pipeline.
