The trailer of Kanu Behl’s upcoming film Agra was released by the makers on Saturday. The film is his second directorial venture after the critically acclaimed Titli (2014). It stars Mohit Agarwal, Priyanka Bose, Ruhani Sharma, Vibha Chibber, Sonal Jha and Aanchal Goswami in pivotal roles. The movie is written by Atika Chohan and Kanu Behl.

The trailer introduces the characters in the film including the protagonist Guru who is a call centre employee living with his parents. Pent up with frustration, his anger finds often violent outlets. He wants to marry his girlfriend Mala and build a room on the terrace of his home. The film explores patriarchy and sexual repression in men through raw storytelling.

Agra premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight section at Cannes Film Festival in 2023. It was also screened at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne where it won Best Indie Film award. It is produced by Vikram Mehra, Siddarth Anand Kumar, William Jéhannin and Kanu Behl. It will be released in France on April 3 and will find a release soon in India.
