Actor Sobhita Dhulipala, who is gearing up for the release of her debut international film Monkey Man, alongside Dev Patel, recently said in an interview that she was overwhelmed by the response the film received at the SXSW Film & TV Festival.

"The response from the crowd was inspiring. There was a standing ovation. I was moved,” she said. Dhulipala has worked in films and TV shows across languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and now English.

She has been part of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan film series, the Telugu films Goodachari (2018) and Major (2022), and the shows Made in Heaven and The Night Manager. "When I look back at my filmography, I only see things to be grateful for. I believe it's ok to do less work, but it's important to do it well,” she added.

Dhulipala started her film journey with Anurag Kashyap’s serial killer thriller Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016), in which she starred alongside Vicky Kaushal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
