Actor Sunil Grover has turned singer with a song from his dark comedy series Sunflower. Grover has crooned a song titled ‘Waada Mummy Ka’, which is part of season 2 of the series. The number has been composed by Rohit Kulkarni and sung by Grover along with Shruti Pathak.

Talking about the song, Grover said, “I am not a singer, but Vikas sir (show’s creator Vikas Bahl) wanted me to sing this one.”

“We had tried with a good professional singer, but somehow it felt that Sonu (the character he plays in the series) should sing the song no matter how bad he is. I think it’s more than singing, it’s Sonu’s expression and his perspective of that song. I love singing, if you call it singing. The female version of the song is very good. I know I’m bad, but if I’m given an opportunity to sing, I will definitely sing,” he added.

Sunflower is a dark comedy thriller series that revolves around the residents of the titular housing society called Sunflower. Directed by Navin Gujral, the series also features Adah Sharma, Ashish Vidyarthi, Ranvir Shorey, Mukul Chaddha, and Girish Kulkarni.
