The first teaser of John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh starrer actioner Vedaa was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the film has been written by Aseem Arrora. Vedaa also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Vidyarthi in pivotal roles.

As the teaser opens, we are introduced to Wagh’s Vedaa, a fierce girl who is training to become a boxer. Parallelly there is John Abraham’s character, who seems like an ex-Armyman out to take revenge. By the looks of it, the film seems to be set in Kashmir. Although the film’s plot isn’t clear, in various intercut sequences we see Abraham showcasing his action chops. Sharvari is also seen breaking some bones.

Last month, first look posters showing Wagh’s and Abraham’s characters were released by the makers.

Wagh was last seen in Bunty aur Babli 2 (2021), which was also her Bollywood debut as an actor. This will be Abraham’s first release after Pathaan last year where he essayed a negative character. 

Vedaa is an action thriller produced by Zee Studios, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and John Abraham and co-produced by Minnakshi Das. The film will hit the theatres on July 12.
