‘Husn Irani’, a Punjabi dance number from the upcoming Netflix buddy-comedy Wild Wild Punjab was unveiled by the makers recently. Crooned by Guru Randhawa, the song is a recreation of the chartbuster ‘Dhol Jageero Da’, originally sung by Happy Bains, Punjabi MC and Master Saleem. The film has been directed by Simarpreet Singh with a story by Luv Ranjan. Luv has also produced the film. It’s screenplay and dialogues are by Harman Wadala and Sandeep Jain.

The music video shows the film’s cast: Varun Sharma, Sunny Singh, Manjot Singh and Jassie Gill, do bhangra on the energetic beats. The choreography has been done by Piyush-Shazia.

Singer Guru Randhawa who has recreated the number, said, “When Luv Sir and Simar told that they want me to sing ‘Husn Irani’ for the film, it was an exciting opportunity and a huge responsibility to bring something new to the table, all whilst honouring the iconic original song. ‘Dhol Jageero Da’ is already such an iconic Punjabi number. We hope the audience admire our recreation.”

Wild Wild Punjab is slated to release on July 10.
