Vashu Bhagnani cleared the air on some rumours that were doing rounds online about his production company, Pooja Entertainment laying off employees and selling the office space after the failure of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The producer denied all the rumours and said that he is already planning on his next big project.

In an interview with The Times of India, Vashu clarified that he hasn’t laid-off any of his staff members and that he has been working with the same team for over a decade. Along with that, he said that the office space hasn’t been sold, it is just getting refurbished into an apartment complex for luxury homes.

Apart from Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, the last few films backed by Pooja Entertainment have fared poorly at the box-office, including Ganapath: A Hero is Born and Mission Raniganj. “Hits and flops are a part of the business”, he said, while revealing that he is already working on the next project. “I am working on an animation series, which is going to be pitched on a mega scale.”

There were also reports that his production house owes money to others. He rubbished these claims and added that if anyone thinks that he owes them money, they should come and talk to him. “If there is an issue, we will resolve it. Nobody is running away. I am not going to buckle under any pressure,” he said.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan starred Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F. It was released in theatres on April 11 and received negative reviews, making over Rs 111.5 crore globally, according to sacnilk.com. Interestingly, before the film’s release, Vashu had claimed that the film will make Rs 1100 crore worldwide.
