Riteish Deshmukh’s debut web-series Pill will be released on JioCinema on July 12, the makers announced on Saturday. It is created by Raj Kumar Gupta, who has earlier helmed films like Aamir (2008), No One Killed Jessica (2011), and Raid (2018). It also stars Pavan Malhotra and Anshul Chauhan in pivotal roles.

The makers shared a motion poster of the series featuring Riteish as his voice is heard saying, "There is no data of the number of people who die in India due to fake medicines". In the caption, the makers wrote, “What’s your medicine really made of? Pill, streaming 12 July onwards, exclusively on JioCinema Premium.”

According to the makers, Pill tells a story of a whistleblower’s battle against the pharmaceutical industry. It is produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies.

Riteish will also be seen next in the ZEE5 horror-comedy film Kakuda, alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Saqib Saleem. It is also set to be released on July 12.
