Alia Bhatt recently spoke about the delay in the release of her film Jee Le Zaraa, and the excitement she feels “as an audience” in seeing husband Ranbir Kapoor and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali collaborate after years for Love And War.

Alia was also supposed to be part of Jee Le Zaraa, which would also to star Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Katrina Kaif. But the film has been put on the backburner as of now with no update around the making. Speaking about it to Showsha, Alia said, “I think the intention to make that film from everybody’s perspective is very strong because of the nature of the subject and the collaboration. Here’s a really strong team of collaborators coming together. The intention is to make it happen but like I said, sometimes there is time and place for everything and you have to wait for the right time to come together. But, I think the intention in everybody’s heart is to this film to hit the big screen. Someday or the other, we just need to figure out the timing.”

The Gangubai Kathiawadi actor also reflected on sharing screenspace again for Love and War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, respectively, after Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva (2022) and Raazi (2018). “I as an audience am so excited to see him (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) and Ranbir collaborate together after so many years. I am like ‘Wow’. And then Vicky and I coming together again and then Ranbir and Vicky, they have created magic with Sanju. So, it’s a lot of combinations, but of course, at the end of the day, the intention is to just keep your head down and work hard and not get the other excitement come in between, because the excitement with the film and the material is most important. And when you are on set, you just have to give your 110%.”

Alia was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023). She is currently gearing up for the release of Vasan Bala’s Jigra.
