Bhumi Pednekar commences shoot for her cop-thriller series Daldal

Bhumi Pednekar took to Instagram on Saturday to announce the commencement of shoot for her cop-thriller series Daldal. Marking her OTT series debut, Daldal is directed by Amrit Raj Gupta and is an adaptation of the book Bhendi Bazaar by Vish Dhamija.

She posted a photo from the sets of the film where she is standing with her back against the screen, overlooking a blurry stream of lights. She wrote in the caption, "The past never stays buried for long. Rita's journey with Daldal commences from today."

Bhumi will essay the role of DCP Rita Ferreira, who embarks on an investigation of a series of murders while dealing with her own past and present. Her first look from the show was released earlier.  

The show is written by Priya Saggi, Sreekanth Agneeaswaran, Rohan D’Souza and Hussain Haidry. It is backed by Abundantia Entertainment with Vikram Malhotra and Suresh Triveni serving as executive producers. It will be released on Prime Video.

Bhumi was last seen in the Netflix film Bhakshak directed by Pulkit where she played the role of a journalist.
