Varun Dhawan’s niece Anjini Dhawan is set to make her Hindi film debut with the film Binny and Family, it was announced on Monday. Written and directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy, the film also stars Pankaj Kapur, Naman Tripathy, Rajesh Kumar, Himani Shivpuri, and Charu Shankar.
The film’s poster was shared by the makers for the announcement. It features Anjini wearing casuals as she looks at the screen, with other actors posing behind her. In the caption, the makers wrote, “Purane zamaane ke sanskaar v/s aajkal ke modern vichaar! Complications se bhari family hai Binny ki, par yeh kahaani hai hum sab ki Miliye Binny And Family se 30th August apne nazdeeki cinema gharon mein. (Yesteryear’s traditions v/s today’s generations’ modern thoughts. Binny’s family is full of complications but this story belongs to us all. Meet Binny and Family from 30th August in theatres).
Anjini is the daughter of Varun’s cousin, Siddharth Dhawan. She has earlier appeared in various ad films.
Binny and Family is presented by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, Mahaveer Jain Films, and Waveband Productions, along with Shashank Khaitan and Mrihdeep Lamba. It will be released in theatres on August 30.
