Manoj Bajpayee’s Bhaiyya Ji will be released on ZEE5 on July 26, the makers announced on Friday. It is the 100th film of Manoj and stars Suvinder Vicky, Jatin Goswami, Vipin Sharma and Zoya Hussain in pivotal roles. Along with that, it also marks the reunion of Manoj with the Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai team, director Apoorv Singh Karki and writer Deepak Kingrani.
Sharing a short promo video, the makers made the announcement. In the caption, they wrote, “Aa rahe hai Bhaiyya ji! Taiyaar rehna! With 1 billion watch minutes of Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, the proud makers bring to you another blockbuster- #BhaiyyaJiOnZEE5.”
Bhaiyya Ji is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Shael Oswal, Shabana Raza Bajpayee, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Samiksha Oswal and Vikram Khakhar. It was released in theatres on May 24.
Our review of the film read, “Most of Bhaiyya Ji is all bark and no-bite. When we get down to the showdown, the editing is haphazard. The action is more camp than kitsch. As the story dawdles, the film becomes more and more absurd.”
