Ayushmann Khurrana shares video as Dum Laga Ke Haisha completes 9 years

The film also starred Bhumi Pednekar in her Bollywood debut

Ayushmann Khurrana took to social media on Tuesday to share a video as his film Dum Laga Ke Haisha completed 9 years. It features a doodle version of all the characters in the film. Written and directed by Sharat Katariya, Dum Laga Ke Haisha also starred Bhumi Pednekar, Sanjay Mishra and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles.

Sharing the video, Ayushmann wrote, “9 years of doodle-worthy moments!”. The film was set in the 1990s and tells the story of a hesitant marriage between Prem and Sandhya, who is an overweight girl. Later, they take part in a race which brings them closer. It was produced by Maneesh Sharma and Aditya Chopra with Anu Malik serving as the music director.

Upon its release, Dum Laga Ke Haisha received critical acclaim and did steady business at the box office earning over Rs 40 crore after a five-week run. It received multiple awards at the 63rd National Film Awards including Best Feature Film in Hindi, Best Lyrics to Varun Grover and Best Female Playback Singer to Monali Thakur for the song, 'Moh Moh Ke Dhaage'.
