‘Theher Zara’ song from Varun Grover’s All India Rank out

The ‘Theher Zara’ song from Varun Grover’s directorial debut All India Rank was released by the makers on Wednesday. This is the third song from the film to be released by the makers, after ‘Sab Achhi Baatein Hai’ and ‘Noodle Sa Dil’. It features lead actor Bodhisattva Sharma navigating complex emotions of staying away from home and battling tough situations in IIT coaching institute. The film also stars Samta Sudiksha, Shashi Bhushan, Geeta Agrawal, Sheeba Chaddha, Neeraj, Ayush Pandey, Saadat Khan in pivotal roles.

The song begins with the character of Bodhisattva vacating his hostel room. Further, he separates with his female friend and promises to exchange letters. The vocals by Vishal Bhardwaj leave a soothing atmosphere throughout. It is composed by Mayukh-Mainak with lyrics by Varun Grover. Sharing the song on YouTube, Varun wrote, “A song that asks you to take a moment, breathe, and let the universe guide you.”

All India Rank is presented by Sriram Raghavan and had its world premiere at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam in February 2023, where it was shown as the closing film. Since then, the film has been shown at MAMI Film Festival and Dharamshala International Film Festival, where it was the opening film. Produced by Sanjay Routray and Sarita Patil, it is set to hit the theatres on February 23.
