Sushmita Sen recalled going through a tough time after winning the title of Miss Universe at a young age of 18. She said that she was diagnosed with chickenpox, malaria and had a fever of 104 degrees but still she went to work every day owing to what she was taught.

In a conversation with on Shipra Neeraj’s YouTube channel, Sushmita said, “At the age of 18 there, I was taught that even if you have a fever, cold, fractured leg, or anything else, there will always be three doctors and oxygen cylinders in your limousine, but you will never say no to work. We will always go to work and honour our commitments.”

She added, “At 18 years of age, I was down to chickenpox in the US. What a way to start your Miss Universe journey! I went through a very trying time and then went to work every day after that. I had a 104 fever, Malaria, and every Indian problem that you can imagine in the US, and I went to work every day. That taught me it’s doable.”

On the work front, Sushmita was last seen in the third season of her action-thriller web-series Aarya.
