On the occasion of Anil Kapoor’s 68th birthday, the makers of his upcoming actioner Subedaar shared a teaser of the film. The movie has been directed by Suresh Triveni, known for Tumhari Sulu (2017) and Jalsa (2022).
Prime Video shared the teaser on the Instagram handle along with the caption, ‘’A special day calls for a special announcement #Subedaar, new movie, coming soon.’’
The teaser shows a gang of goons banging on doors of a house. Anil Kapoor’s character Arjun Maurya, a former soldier, casually sits on a chair, facing a door. The banging increases and the goons call out and heckle Arjun. The ex-armyman sits comfortably and raises his hands up as if he is holding a rifle. He tries to remember his training and braces for action as a windowpane breaks.
As per a press release shared by the makers, Subedaar tells the story of a former soldier grappling with the challenges of transitioning to civilian life. “Battling personal demons and a strained relationship with his daughter, Arjun’s journey is both compelling and emotional,” reads the release.
The film has been produced by Vikram Malhotra, Anil Kapoor, and Suresh Triveni. It will stream on Prime Video, however, its release date is still under wraps.
