Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par wraps filming

The latest update from Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual sequel to the 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, is that the film's shoot has been wrapped and has entered the post-production stage.

We had earlier reported that the film, which was supposed to release late in 2024, was pushed for a 2025 release. The actor had also revealed recently that though the film is thematically a sequel to the 2007 film, it has a fresh set of characters, situation and plot.

Sources close to the makers, according to reports, claim that this film too, in the line of Dangal and Secret Superstar, will be screened for focus groups first. They add that the focus-group screening will begin in February and the final edit will be complete by then.

It is worth noting that Aamir Khan was at the Mumbai Film City on Sunday for what some insiders claim was a patch shoot.

Directed by RS Prasanna, the film that also stars Genelia Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary is an official adaptation of the Spanish sports comedy Campeones.
