Taapsee Pannu recently revealed that she is learning boxing, aerial yoga and squash to prepare for the role in her upcoming actioner Gandhari. The film marks her sixth collaboration with writer-producer Kanika Dhillon and tells the story of a mother who takes a brutal fight to save her abducted child.

In a recent interview, Taapsee said, "Now Gandhari Prep is going on and apart from squash, aerial yoga and gym training, I am also doing some boxing so my stamina is ready for the long fight and there isn't a lot of time wasted on set for recovery."

The film is being helmed by acclaimed director Devashish Makhija, who is best known for directing films like Joram and Bhonsle. The makers had earlier shared an announcement video for the film. In the clip, Taapsee’s voiceover states in Hindi, “They say a mother’s blessing is always with you, but when it comes to her child, she becomes Goddess Kali.”

It is tentatively scheduled to be released on Netflix next year.

Taapsee was last seen in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba which released earlier this year in August.
