Rajkummar Rao announces his next film Maalik; first look poster out

Rajkummar Rao will be seen next in Maalik, he announced on Saturday which marks his birthday. It is being helmed by Bhakshak director Pulkit and the film's shooting has commenced. The actor also shared the first look poster from the film, which seems to be an action-thriller.

In the poster, Rajkummar stands atop a police jeep and gives an intense look towards the camera. He is holding a rifle in his hands. The text on the poster reads: “Paida nahi huye toh kya, bann toh sakte hain (What if we were not born a certain way, atleast we can become).” From the poster, it seems like the actor will now be seen in massy-actioner.

He wrote in the caption, “Maalik ki duniya mein aapka Swagat hai. Shoot shuru ho chuka hai, jald hi mulaqat hogi (Welcome to the world of Maalik. Shoot has commenced.)”

According to Instagram tags on the post, musician duo, Sachin-Jigar will serve as the music director on the project with Amitabh Bhattacharya working as the lyricist. The film is produced by Kumar Taurani and Jay Shewakramani. More details on the project are awaited.

Rajkummar was last seen in the massively successful horror-comedy Stree 2 which is currently running in theatres.
