Abhay Verma and Sharvari starrer horror-comedy Munjya is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, the movie’s production house Maddock Films announced recently.

On Saturday evening, Maddock took to its X handle to share the update with the caption, “Aapne Munjya ko yaad kiya, aur voh apni Munni ko dhoondne dauda chala aa gaya.. Saari munnis, please be aware!! (You thought of Munjya and he has come running to find his Munni. All Munnis please be aware) Watch Munjya now streaming on @DisneyPlusHS!”

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar (Zombivli, 2022), the film released in theatres on June 7. Despite having a not so popular star-cast, the movie made over Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office. Munjya also stars Mona Singha and Tamil actor Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.

Munjya is reportedly set in the Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe, comprising films such as Stree (2018) and Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya (2022). Set in Pune and the Konkan region of Maharashtra, Munjya follows the story of the eponymous mythical creature which has its roots in Marathi folklore. It is written by Yogesh Chandekar with additional screenplay and dialogue by Niren Bhatt.
