Anupam Kher has roped in Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen to feature in his upcoming directorial venture, Tanvi The Great. Anupam took to Instagram to post a video with Iain, making the announcement. Anupam has earlier worked with Iain in the British web-series Mrs. Wilson (2018).

In the video, Anupam is seen introducing Iain and talking about the collaboration. In the caption, he wrote, “Ladies and Gentlemen! Since our pic went viral from the sets of Tanvi The Great yesterday, both Iain Glen and I decided to announce to the world about our collaboration for the film. On a personal note, I feel delighted and privileged to have Iain act in my directorial venture. I have been an admirer of his brilliance on stage and on screen and of course of Game of Thrones! Thank you, my friend! Jai Ho!”

To this, Iain replied with a comment saying, “Anupam is a very special man. It’s impossible to spend any time with him without your view of the world being enriched. I am so happy to be part of his film Tanvi The Great. And my first time in India. A beautiful country with beautiful people.”

The film marks Anupam’s second project as director after 2002's family-drama Om Jai Jagadish. Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani will be composing the songs for the film with lyrics by Kausar Munir.

Produced under the banner of Anupam Kher Studios, the film went on the floors on March 8. More details from the project are awaited.
